About the owner
Zach Tarbell has over 12 years experience as a welder and fabricator in a range of industries, including heavy structural, motorsports, production manufacturing, and repair & maintenance. He brings a passion for intelligent design, metallurgy, quality & customer satisfaction, to every project.
As an ABS Apprentice bladesmith, he has been making custom hand-forged cutlery and heirloom blades since 2018.
He has been a welding, and blacksmithing instructor for 8 years. He is also an ABS Apprentice bladesmith.
Zach competed twice on History Channel's Forged in Fire, Season 8.
The shop
Z Tarbell Industries is based inside of an 1880 barn in rural Brockport, NY,
on a quiet and secure 50 acre property. The fab shop itself makes efficient use of the space, while an adjacent shared bay with automotive lift with plenty of outdoor space makes any project doable.
We are a 20 minute drive from Downtown Rochester, 30 minutes from Batavia, and 40 minutes from Victor.
